Research projekt “Climate models” completed!
The higher the insulation level of a building component is the less heat is available for its drying. As a consequence of the better airtightness of the building envelope, in addition the indoor air humidity increases. Both together require also higher demands on the moisture protection of the building components. This is increasingly verified by means of a hygrothermal simulations like WUFI®. These methods need appropriate indoor and outdoor climate data. To close the existing gaps, as part of a research project the following topics were investigated

Information on the planned release of WUFI® Pro 6
In spring 2016 we will release the new version of our hygrothermal simulation software WUFI® Pro 6. The most important new features and improvements include:
- New, more stable and faster kernel
- New climate menu which allows to pick the location from the globe, additional analysis of the climate files and possibility to plot courses of all climatic elements contained
- New database for custom climates which can be made accessible also on the map
- New interface for the material database with tree structure, comfortable search function and new possibilities to manage the user data!
- WUFI® Graph for evaluation of the results allows a direct comparison of different cases within the same diagram, the comparison of 1D and 2D simulation results and the evaluation of average conditions over several grid elements – also for the relative humidity. This also allows for an evaluation of timber structures according to the new WTA guideline 6-8 with its requirements for transient wood decay evaluation.
WUFI® Plus and WUFI® Passive update
The new versions WUFI® Plus 3.0.3 and WUFI® Passive 3.0.3 have been released. Please find an overview of alterations and setup instructions in the update overview.
Free-of-charge updates are listed on the WUFI® online shop in the section „my orders“. The displayed link allows you to download the respective latest version which can be update to for free. Please extract the file and install the software using your existing licence number (usually identified automatically). Earlier versions don’t have to be uninstalled. Chargeable upgrades will be displayed at the online shop when you log in with your WUFI® account.
