Information on the inclusion of data in the WUFI® database

Inclusion of material datasets

The WUFI® material database contains data sets that have been measured and verified by us, as well as data sets which were prepared by us on the basis of measurements from independent test laboratories. We would be pleased to offer you adding your material data to our database.

The material data required for the database entry depend on the type of material. You can find out in this table which data are required for which material.

A list of the standards and measurement methods used to determine the material characteristics is listed here.

The conditions for the inclusion are listed below:

Requirements:

  • Material data from measurements in our laboratory or test certificate of an independent (preferably accredited) testing laboratory

Additional information about the data set (optional):

  • Company logo
  • Link to your website
  • Pictures (5 pictures maximum)
  • Material information (application, properties, etc.)
  • Company information (homepage, contact, etc.)
  • Multilingual datasets possible

Fees:

  • Preparation and plausibility check of the data set 200 € – 1200 €, depending on the material type
  • If the results of the measurement have to be revised (for example, conversion or adjustment), additional costs may be incurred depending on the effort involved
  • Admission fee 300 € / material
  • Revisions are billed according to the work involved
  • No running fees

Inclusion of surface radiation coefficients

Furthermore, it is possible to include values for the short-wave radiation absorptivity and long-wave radiation emissivity for your material (for example, roofing membrane) in the WUFI® database.

The values are shown in the pulldown menu for the radiation properties in the settings of the surface transfer coefficients with company, product names and color descriptions.

Requirements:

  • Measured values* for short-wave radiation absorptivity and long-wave radiation emissivity
  • Measurement at our laboratory or test certificate of an independent (preferably accredited) testing laboratory

Fees:

  • Admission fee 100 € / material
  • No running fees

Notes on measurement:

  • Short-wave absorptivity:
    • representative for the solar wavelength range (e.g., 300 nm – 2500 nm) (no luminance factor, which is limited to the visual wavelength range)
  • Long-wave emissivity:
    • representative for wavelengths around the emission maximum at 10 micrometers
    • material temperature = approx. ambient temperature
    • preferred: hemispherical instead normal direction
